Michael McGoldrick was a successful academic, teacher, investor, conservationist, and patron of the arts. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, and exploring. He had a voracious appetite for both knowledge and adventure. While he enjoyed a variety of professional careers, there was a common thread of helping others expand their knowledge, whether in the classroom or board room. He encouraged his students and co-workers to consider the world through a lens of comparative economics and compassionate human rights.
MEM Scholars will be selected whose lives, interest and pursuits align with the values that Michael held dear in his life.
To be eligible for the McGoldrick Scholarship Program, applicants must demonstrate financial need through Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $150,000 or less on the 2024 federal tax return on which the applicant is claimed as a dependent, plus a review of other assets.
