In the 1-year Medical Assistant program students study the human body in health and disease, medical terminology, pharmacology, clinical procedures, practice management, electronic health records, coding & billing, and also get a chance to work in an externship that helps to provide real-world experience prior to graduation. Additionally, course curriculum focuses on business related computer applications, English, presentation, and communication.
In this profession use your people skills while measuring vital signs, assisting with exams and procedures, giving injections, removing sutures, and preparing specimens for a laboratory.
