You must be enrolled in or entering a certificate or degree program that will lead to a career in manufacturing. Only full-time students (12 credit hours or more) currently enrolled in or who plan to attend a technical or trade school, community college, or university in the upcoming semester should apply.

Please read all instructions thoroughly and take your time to answer all questions. 

You will be unable to access your application after you submit it electronically. If you start to complete the application but choose to finish at a later date, please do so within 7 days. INCOMPLETE ONLINE APPLICATIONS WILL AUTO-PURGE AFTER 7 DAYS OF INACTIVITY. Purged data is irretrievable.

Your scholarship application will be accepted once your official transcript is received by NBT from the educational institution where you most recently completed a full semester. Please read the following important information regarding transcripts:

  • Transcripts must be received on or before March 31.
  • Transcripts must be received directly from the issuing institution (the high school or college of record) and can be submitted in one of the following ways:
    • Transcripts may be uploaded to the secure NBT ShareFile site at nutsandboltsfoundation.org/uploadscholar.
    • Transcripts may be sent via Parchment Transcript Services or National Student Clearinghouse.
    • Transcripts may be submitted by the school of record via standard mail to:
