We are seeking a skilled and motivated Framing Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing the structural framework of buildings, ensuring precision and quality in every project. Responsibilities
Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately frame structures.
Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Erect metal building frameworks and metal stud framing with precision, adhering to safety protocols and project specifications.
Perform concrete forming tasks, including rebar installation and setting up forms for concrete pours.
Execute drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, siding, and trim carpentry to achieve smooth finishes and aesthetic appeal.
Operate heavy equipment as needed for lifting and positioning large framing materials or structural components.
Collaborate with construction management teams to interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings for efficient project execution.
Conduct heavy lifting safely while managing materials on-site; utilize tape measures proficiently for accurate measurements.
Assist in restoration projects or remodeling efforts by dismantling existing structures or modifying frameworks as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience in framing carpentry with a strong understanding of construction site procedures.
Proficiency in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and working with schematics.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices like tape measures, and performing dimensional measurements accurately.
Knowledge of metal building erection, concrete forming, rebar installation, drywall installation, siding, stucco, and masonry work.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently; experience with welding is a plus.
Strong foundation in construction management principles and site safety protocols.
Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during framing tasks.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
