Romtec Utilities designs, manufactures, supplies and installs pumping systems for any type of water; including wastewater, storm water, industrial water, clean water and potable water. All pumping systems include all structural, mechanical, electrical and control and communication aspects. Once installed and connected to power, the start up technician goes to the site to start and prove the system.
This position is responsible for traveling to customer job sites to complete Romtec Utilities Systems commissioning and start up. In addition, the Field Service Technician may be responsible for automation and control system PLC/HMI programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Start up the Romtec Utilities pumping system;
Quality control check the Control Panel and make simple repairs;
Perform some control system programming;
Perform onsite troubleshooting;
Make all necessary repairs;
Interact with customers, their engineers and contractors;
Document your field service work;
Provide operation training to customers and their staff;

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· Two years of post-secondary technical education, or a minimum or three years relevant experience
· Electrical knowledge
· Mechanical skills with a general understanding of pumps
· Good computer skills with experience using Word, Excel and AutoCAD or equivalent
