SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR - MANAGED SERVICES - LEVEL 2 IT TECHNICAL SUPPORT

POSITION SUMMARY
The System Administrator is a Tier 2 technician who acts as a point of escalation for the Service Desk Administrator staff within our Service Teams, responding to and resolving incoming IT requests and alerts from our customers over the phone, through email, and in person.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Act as the primary escalation point for our Service Desk Administrators, handling tickets that require a higher technical skillset or more time.
- Resolve or escalate maintenance tickets generated by client infrastructure to a Tier 3 Network Administrator.
- Maintain the health, documentation, and maintenance of assigned client network infrastructures.
- Handle overflow inbound call volume during busy times and act as on-call support on a rotational basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience (Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, or Tier 2 in a tiered environment)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with IT hardware and software (PCs, laptops, servers, firewalls, switches, routers, Windows OS)
- Experience with Windows Server, Office 365 administration, VPN, Active Directory and Group Policies, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of mail flow troubleshooting, TCP/IP, security best practices, and backup/recovery tools (Datto, Veeam, Azure)
- Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
Preferred: College/associate degree in IT, MSP experience, familiarity with ConnectWise, ServiceNow, or Ninja.
Work is in a normal office environment, with occasional hours outside normal business hours and on-call rotation.
