Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic property maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and mechanical systems across our facilities. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for building occupants while supporting the overall efficiency of our property systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge and hands-on skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Duties
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems to ensure continuous operation.
Install new HVAC equipment and mechanical systems following schematics and HVAC design specifications.
Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical system diagnostics to identify faults.
Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems and ensure proper functioning of associated piping and drainage.
Troubleshoot equipment problems through mechanical knowledge and mechanical systems repair techniques to minimize downtime.
Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed.
Support property maintenance efforts by assisting with general building system upkeep and ensuring compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants.
Experience
1 year of experience as an HVAC service technician or maintenance technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance.
Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building infrastructure integration.
Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and building automation systems is essential.
Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is preferred.
Knowledge of electrical diagnostics, plumbing, boiler operation, and mechanical systems repair is required.
Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively in various maintenance tasks.
Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling is mandatory; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical systems are advantageous.
A valid driver’s license is required for travel between sites as needed.

Pay: $27.00 - $37.29 per hour
