We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining various machining equipment to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC machining, manual machining, and blueprint interpretation will be vital in ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Duties
Operate CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, including Fanuc controls, to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications
Set up machining tools, fixtures, and tooling to ensure accurate production runs
Interpret mechanical blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) drawings, and technical specifications for precise manufacturing
Program CNC machines using G-code and M-code languages; perform troubleshooting and adjustments during machining processes
Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments to verify part dimensions and quality
Perform manual machining operations on lathes, grinders, and other tools when required for finishing or prototype work
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling power tools and hand tools
Requirements
Proven experience as a Machinist with proficiency in CNC programming (including Fanuc controls), CNC quality inspection, and manual machining techniques
Strong knowledge of mechanical blueprint reading and interpretation of mechanical blueprints
Ability to operate machining tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines
Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks and CAM programming for toolpath creation
Understanding of measurement techniques for quality control using precision measuring instruments and GD&T standards
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical drawings accurately
Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in machining processes
Experience with machine setup on CNC lathe or milling machines; ability to troubleshoot issues during production runs
Knowledge of tooling selection, machine calibration, M-code programming, and CNC G-code programming principles
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail
