Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Follow all safety policies, procedures and practices.
Must keep work area clean and safe.
Understanding and daily practice of 5S.
Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communicate with Operations and Maintenance personnel.
Follow all OSHA, NFPA 70E, National Electrical Code (NEC), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and company safety requirements.
Ensure electrical work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and incident investigations.
Follow all food safety and consumer safety policies, procedures, and practices.
Participate in GMP and food safety training.
Reports all food safety concerns with urgency.
Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production equipment.
Diagnose equipment failures using electrical testing devices, schematics, and software diagnostics.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, relays, transformers, and lighting systems.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations.
Equipment Installation & Upgrades
Install new production equipment and electrical systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, ladder logic, and technical manuals.
Assist in machine modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
Support commissioning and startup of new equipment.
Automation & Controls
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
Assist with programming modifications under engineering or controls supervision.
Maintain industrial communication networks and control systems when required.
Documentation & Communication
Complete maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Document repairs, equipment history, and parts usage within CMMS or maintenance systems.
Communicate equipment issues and repair status to supervisors and production personnel.
Recommend improvements to increase reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
