Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Fuel Polishing Lead Technician to oversee and execute fuel cleaning operations on stationary fuel tanks. In this vital role, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining fuel quality through polishing processes, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting the safe operation of the fuel polishing system. Your abilities will help optimize fuel storage systems, prevent contamination, and uphold safety standards across facilities. Duties
Lead and coordinate fuel polishing activities to remove water, sediments, and contaminants from fuel storage tanks.
Operate particle analyzer
Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control fuel polishing processes
Read and interpret instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure proper setup and troubleshooting of equipment
Conduct routine inspections of fuel systems, pumps, filters, and associated mechanical components for optimal performance
Perform equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including emergency response readiness and hazard mitigation procedures
Experience
Experienced hands-on operator of pumps, hoses and filtering equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge applicable to pumps, filters and piping systems.
Knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS) used for process automation in industrial settings
Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and flow rates.
Demonstrated emergency response readiness handling safety incidents or hazardous situations

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
