We are looking for an experienced and reliable Underground Excavator Helper to join our plumbing team. In this role, you will assist with operating excavation equipment to dig trenches for water lines, sewer lines, septic systems, and other plumbing-related installations or repairs. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of underground utility work and a commitment to safety and precision.

Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate excavators to dig trenches and holes for plumbing installations and repairs
Assist with excavating around existing utilities with care and precision
Assist plumbing crews with locating and accessing underground pipes and systems
Load and backfill trenches with appropriate materials
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area and support general labor tasks as needed

Qualifications:
Minimum 1 yr. experience excavating
Line Bore experience
Knowledge of construction safety
Focus on installing residential sewer lines and other residential dirt work
Has OSHA 30 card or plan to obtain one
Knowledge of underground utility locating and safe digging practices
Valid heavy equipment operator certification/license (as required by local/state regulations)
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and trench safety standards
Ability to work in tight or confined spaces safely and efficiently
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Physical ability to lift, dig, and perform labor-intensive tasks
Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions:
Outdoor job sites with exposure to varying weather conditions
Work may involve tight deadlines and occasional overtime
Use of PPE required (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toe boots)
May involve lifting heavy materials and equipment
