Employment: Full-time (Overtime and weekends when required)

Summary

This position is designed as an introductory pathway into our restoration department for an individual who shares our passion for cars, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.

The Service & Inspection Technician will primarily focus on service-based mechanical work, including vehicle inspections, maintenance services, fluid and filter changes, diagnostic support, and preparing inventory and consignment vehicles for sale. This role plays an important part in ensuring vehicles are accurately evaluated, properly serviced, and presented to the highest standard.

Over time, this position offers the opportunity to grow into a more restoration-focused mechanical role with increased responsibility in disassembly, repair, and restoration work.

Responsibilities
Perform vehicle inspections for consignment sales, inventory acquisition, and client service work
Complete routine maintenance services including oil changes, fluid flushes, filter replacement, spark plugs, belts, hoses, and other service items
Inspect and document vehicle condition, including mechanical faults, leaks, wear items, and recommended repairs
Assist in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues under the guidance of senior technicians and the foreman
Prepare vehicles for sale through service, light repairs, and mechanical sorting
Support the restoration team with light mechanical disassembly, reassembly, and component servicing as needed
Maintain accurate documentation of inspection findings, service recommendations, and completed work
Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized workspace
Work in coordination with Restoration and Sales teams to meet business goals and deadlines

Requirements
Strong foundational understanding of automotive mechanical systems
Ability to inspect vehicles thoroughly and identify faults, maintenance needs, and safety concerns
Comfortable performing routine service and maintenance work independently
Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly
Willingness to learn restoration processes and grow into more advanced mechanical work over time
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team
Positive attitude with a focus on personal and professional growth

Qualifications & Experience
2+ years of automotive service experience preferred
Experience in general maintenance and repair work required
Experience with classic, European, or specialty vehicles preferred but not required

Familiarity with:
Fluid and filter services
Brake and suspension inspections
Cooling system service
Basic engine diagnostics
Electrical troubleshooting fundamentals
Manual and automatic transmission service knowledge preferred
