Astria Health is seeking a Referral Coordinator to join our team! This position is located at our Sunnyside Astria Health Audiology and Pediatric Therapies Center.
Shift: Monday - Friday - More details will be discussed during the interview.

As the Referral Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating patient access to audiology services through the effective management of referrals, insurance verification, and prior authorization processes. You will:
Coordinate and manage all incoming audiology referrals, including intake, tracking, follow-up, and communication with referring providers to ensure timely patient access.
Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referral requirements, and obtain prior authorizations for audiology services and hearing devices in accordance with payer guidelines.
Maintain expertise in payer-specific authorization, referral, billing, and reimbursement requirements while monitoring workflows to reduce delays and denials.
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, referring offices, insurance companies, and internal departments to facilitate coordination of care.
Develop, implement, and maintain referral, registration, authorization, and front office workflows, including policies, procedures, documentation, training materials, and reference guides.
Coordinate onboarding, training, and ongoing education for front office staff to improve registration accuracy, workflow consistency, patient access, and revenue cycle performance.
Monitor registration quality, work queues, operational reports, DNFB, and patient encounters to ensure timely processing, complete documentation, and resolution of deficiencies in collaboration with billing, HIM, and revenue cycle teams.
Provide administrative and operational support by overseeing front office collections, participating in month-end processes, managing office supplies and equipment, and assisting with new payer relationships, referral pathways, and patient access initiatives.

High School Graduation or GED.
Two or more years of direct work experience in healthcare.
Two or more years of administrative support and report management.
Oral and written fluency in the English language.
Preferred Qualifications and Education.
Master’s Degree in health informatics and/or additional certification in medical billing and coding
Pay and Benefit Expectations

Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
