Assistant Bookkeeper – Contractor Job Description
Hours: 6–8 hours per week Compensation: $500/month

Role Summary: Kicking Assets Bookkeeping, LLC is hiring a dependable, part time Assistant Bookkeeper (Contractor) who wants to grow with a fast moving, expanding bookkeeping and small business operations company. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, self motivated, and excited about learning new industries and systems and comfortable working independently.
This is a hybrid position — you'll work remotely most of the time, with occasional in-person document pickups and local tasks in the Yakima, WA area. Applicants should be located in Yakima or the surrounding area to make those local pickups possible.
All assigned work must be completed weekly and done Monday–Thursday each week for me to reconcile and close everything out on Friday & Saturday.

About Kicking Assets Bookkeeping, LLC Kicking Assets Bookkeeping is a Yakima based bookkeeping business serving a wide range of small businesses — including breweries, electrical service companies, and UTV/off road shops. We focus on accuracy, organization, and building long term relationships with our clients. Since 2019, I’ve supported clients both in person and remotely. This is not a corporate firm but a growing, hands on, real people business that values trust, communication, and consistency.

You’ll be working side by side with ME (Valerie) I graduated from Perry Technical Institute in both Automotive Technology and Business Technology & Accounting, which gives me a solid foundation in both the trades and the financial side of running a business. I’ve owned and operated Kicking Assets Bookkeeping since 2019, working both in person and remotely with a wide variety of clients from hands on trades to retail to hospitality.
I care deeply about accuracy, communication, and helping small businesses thrive. My automotive background helps me understand the fast paced, detail heavy world many of my clients operate in, and I bring that same level of precision and work ethic into my bookkeeping.
You’ll be collaborating directly with me, and while I take my work seriously, I’m also fun, easygoing, and a little goofy in the best way. I like to keep things organized and efficient. I want this to be a place where you feel comfortable asking questions, learning new things, and growing at your own pace.
I’m looking for someone who wants to learn, grow, and build something with me — not just check mark the to-do list. As the business expands, this role will expand too, including opportunities to help with advertising, marketing ideas, and operational improvements. If you want to be part of something that’s building momentum, this is the place.
