Job Description:
JOB DUTIES: Preventative maintenance (PM) of all production machinery and equipment including making needed repairs on production line minimal downtime. PM and maintenance on all units of equipment used throughout the facility. Keep accurate records and logs of projects completed. Assist others with any repairs in which you qualify. Will communicate with and take direction from supervisors to help maintain a safe, clean and efficient work environment.
Day shift mechanics may be required to unlock the gates/building in the morning, and night shift mechanics to lock things up at night. Both shifts must complete a Prestart-up checklist, check packing instructions for product amendments to be used on the fruit. While working if you see any signs of damage or tampering you are to report it to your supervisor (Facility Maintenance Manager) immediately. Question anyone acting suspiciously or in areas they don’t belong.
Duties will also include, but not be limited to, moving to other areas in production when requested, and as needed by supervisors to maintain the quality standards set by Olympic Fruit and reach production goals set by management.
