Cascade Eye Center is a multi-doctor optometry clinic looking for a highly motivated individual to fill a medical filing clerk position at our clinic. The primary role is to scan and digitize existing paper patient charts to input into our new electronic health records system. Applicant must be proficient with computers, detail orients, be highly motivated to learn quickly, and work well in a team environment for a busy medical office. Multi-tasking skills are a must. Experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train on the job. This is a temporary position until all of the files are scanned, but we anticipate at least 6 months is still remaining.
Primary Responsibilities:
Scanning of paper medical charts into electronic health records system
Filing of medical charts
Prepping of medical charts for upcoming visits
Assist with patient scheduling (as assigned by supervisor)
General office tasks (as assigned by supervisor)
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
Experience: 1 year customer service experience
Hours: 20-25 hours per week, 5 days/week (flexible days/hours), no weekends
