Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Plumber to join our Plumbing and Heating team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing and heating installation, repair, and maintenance within various construction projects. The ideal candidate will develop foundational skills in plumbing and heating systems, blueprint reading, and mechanical work while working alongside experienced professionals. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in plumbing, construction, and related trades.
Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and heating systems on construction sites and remodeling projects
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing, heating and HVAC systems
Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding tools safely and effectively
Support the assembly of piping systems, pipe fitting, and pipe threading tasks
Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations
Aid in remodeling projects by supporting carpentry, handyman tasks, and general site maintenance
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of construction, plumbing, heating, HVAC, carpentry, or remodeling is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, pipe threading, or schematics is a plus
Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations
Prior construction site experience or handyman background is advantageous
Ability to read blueprints or schematics is beneficial but training will be provided
Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work well within a team environment and follow instructions accurately
Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites
