Our Union Gap, WA office, which specializes in selling and supporting our controlled
atmosphere equipment including SafePodTM monitoring technology, PSA Nitrogen Generators,
Carbon Dioxide Smart Scrubbers, secondary refrigeration equipment, and Controlled
Atmosphere control systems is currently seeking a SafePodTM Technician – Level I.

Position Description
As a SafePodTM Technician – Level I, your responsibilities include the delivery, installation,
calibration, pickup, test, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, and refurbishment of our
patented SafePodTM technology. You will use computers, proprietary software, Microsoft Office
products, and basic service technician hand tools and meters. In addition, you will travel to
customer sites for installation, commissioning, de-commissioning of products and interacting
with customers.

It is critical that you possess strong verbal/written communication skills, a keen eye for detail,
and the ability to learn and retain safety best practices. You will perform many unique tasks and
will learn new products and services as your skill sets mature. You must be willing to learn
Controlled Atmosphere safety requirements.

STORAGE CONTROL SYSTEMS, INC

Candidates need to follow standard operating procedures, maintain a clean work environment
and keep a clean appearance. SCS is willing to teach candidates who possess positive, proactive
attitudes and respect co-workers and customers.

Specific Accountabilities
• Deliver, install, calibrate, pickup, test, maintain, refurbish our patented SafePodTM
technology.
• Start-up and commission SafePodTM at customers’ facilities throughout Yakima, Pasco,
and Wenatchee regions.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair a wide variety of SafePodTM and Controlled
Atmosphere equipment/systems.
• Support oversight of SafePodTM customer dashboard.
• Report SafePodTM data anomalies to Director of Technology.
• Provide customer support during lease period.
• Responsible for shop cleanliness and organization
• Additional responsibilities are to gain knowledge with other SCS equipment for potential
responsibility expansion.
• Ensure all SCS policies and procedures are followed by department staff with an
emphasis on safety both at SCS and customer locations.
• Ensure that team collaboration, quality and customer satisfaction are prioritized with all
decisions
• Ensure that SCS’ name and reputation is in good standing with customers, vendors,
associates and subcontractors
• Perform other duties as needed.
Communication Skills
• Need to create and maintain a high level of collaboration with internal team members
and customers.
• Required to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical staff.
• Maintain a high level of communication with both internal and external stakeholders,
customers, contractors, and industry peers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Ability to learn and follow standard procedures and guidelines.
• Basic troubleshooting and mechanical ability.
• Basic knowledge of electricity.
• Willing to learn and follow safety practices
• Customer service skills, include professional, written correspondence
• Willing to learn operating principles of various types of Controlled Atmosphere
equipment and systems
• Ability to maintain required records, and prepare reports.
• Ability to lift 80+lbs
• Use ladders, working from heights.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and good standing driving record.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver a vehicle with a trailer.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which will be provided.

• SafePodTM Operations Manager, North America

Additional Comments
• Willingness to travel to customer locations (mostly local and regional but may have
limited international opportunities).
• Our industry’s busy season is July - October During this time, your availability is critical. Time off requests during this period may be more restrictive.
• SCS provides technology and company training.
• Company uniform clothing provided.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $28.00, depending on experience

Schedule:
• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime, on occasion, primarily July – October.
• Some weekend on-call activity will be required during July - October.

Willingness to travel:
• Less than 5% overnight travel.
• Occasional day trips to Pasco and Wenatchee regions especially in July – October
season.
