A Medical Receptionist is responsible for interfacing with patients and possesses exceptional organizational and administrative talents. Duties include updating patients’ information, scheduling patients according to the physicians’ needs, processing payments and co-pays, explaining medical forms to patients, and balancing time between phone calls and patient check in.
Qualifications:
Being a team player, but more importantly, a team leader
Medical terminology familiarity preferred
Professional verbal communication skills
Strong multitasking abilities
Prior use of multi-line phone systems preferred
Ability to micromanage self during busy schedules
Prior use of Electronic Health Systems preferred
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Computer literacy is a requirement
