Position Overview
The Events Coordinator / Assistant Manager plays a key role in the day-to-day success of Westwood Golf Course. This position oversees the planning and execution of private events, supports FOH and BOH operations, maintains an up-to-date website, and ensures excellent customer service across the restaurant/bar, banquet space, pro shop, and driving range. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, community-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination (60%)
Serve as the primary contact for all banquet, league, tournament, and private event inquiries.
Provide event proposals, pricing details, and customized options (including driving range bay rentals, bar packages, and food menus).
Manage event bookings through AlleyTrak and maintain an accurate events calendar.
Coordinate event logistics—timelines, staffing, room setup, décor, menu selection, and audio/visual needs.
Work with the kitchen team to communicate headcounts, menu changes, dietary needs, and event timing.
Oversee event execution onsite to ensure a smooth, high-quality guest experience.
Conduct post-event follow-ups and gather feedback.

Assistant Management (35%)
Support daily FOH operations including opening/closing procedures, table service flow, seating, and bar support.
Supervise FOH staff during shifts—providing direction, resolving guest issues, and maintaining service standards.
Step in on the floor as needed: serving, running food/drinks, bussing, hosting.
Oversee driving range activity and guide guests on bay reservations, walk-ins, and Inrange technology use.
Assist with pro shop transactions during busy periods or staff shortages.
Maintain communication with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth operations.
Help train new employees and reinforce Westwood service expectations.

Website & Communications (5%)
Keep the Westwood website (Squarespace) updated with current menus, hours, events, league info, and seasonal announcements.
Update event pages as new offerings are launched.
Edit, upload, and refresh content regularly to ensure accuracy and alignment with branding.
Assist with small marketing tasks as needed (posting events, simple social updates, etc.).

Qualifications
1–2 years of hospitality, event coordination, restaurant management, or related experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events at once.
Excellent communication skills and a guest-first mindset.
Leadership abilities and comfort managing FOH teams.
Ability to problem-solve under pressure and stay calm during peak periods.
Experience with or willingness to learn:
Toast POS
AlleyTrak (event & bay reservation management)

Inrange (driving range technology)

Squarespace (website updates)

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for long periods.
Availability on evenings, weekends, and event-heavy days.
