Job Summary
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials and services needed for production. This role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work closely with vendors and internal departments to meet deadlines and maintain supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and purchase materials and services based on production requirements
Maintain accurate purchase orders and inventory records
Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery
Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and order status
Collaborate with project managers and production teams to forecast material needs
Resolve delivery or quality issues with vendors
Qualifications
Previous purchasing or procurement experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Familiarity with signage, manufacturing, or construction materials is a plus
Benefits
Competitive hourly pay: $20.00 – $26.00/hour, depending on experience
