We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Control (QC) team and help ensure our products meet industry and customer standards.
Wilbert Precast, Inc., is seeking a QC Technician for its Quality Control Team at our Yakima location. This employee performs routine tests on raw materials, in-process components, and final products as required, ensuring quality products are delivered to our customers. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented, emphasizing quality work.
The position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of Quality Control functions including, but not limited to, the following:
Perform quality testing of self-consolidated plastic concrete
Temperature
Air Entrainment
Unit Weight/Yield
Spread/Visual Stability IndexPrepare test cylinders for compressive strength testingPerform testing for compressive strength
Perform testing on aggregate (Moisture)
Perform daily pre-pour and post-pour inspections
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School DiplomaExperience in a construction setting
Experience in Quality Control
Ability to understand units of measurement and translate them to production
Basic computer skills
Ability to problem-solve and organize
Strong communication skills in a team environment
Good math skills
Qualifications:
Team Player
Ability to handle physical workload:
Lift up to 60lbs
Extended duration on foot (up to 8 hours)
Stand, walk, crouch, kneel, stretch, and claim for extended periods.
Repetitive use of hand tools and power tools
