Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or G.E.D.
· Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License;
· Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment;
· Knowledge of ticket tracking applications, and escalation, monitor and close ticket processes;
· Knowledge, related experience in the area of training services or best practices;
· Knowledge and experience with systems, productivity applications/suites;
· Knowledge and experience in resolving issues with software applications/suites;
· Capable of clear and concise verbal and/or written communication to provide customer support in the field of technology;
· Knowledge or expertise in Google G-suite, Microsoft Office, or Skyward, is preferred;
· Knowledge and experience with making technical presentations, videos, and instructions geared toward support, and understanding;
· Versed in collaboration techniques that promote participation in troubleshoot issues and provides guidance for using applications to improve practices, performance, and strategy at various levels within a team or department.
· Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages and the ability to learn and program/code in languages needed for district projects; as well as the ability to work with developer tools, is preferred;
· Three (3) years of related experience preferred;
· Must possess the physical ability to perform job requirements and have a high-stress tolerance;
· Have an established record of dependability, flexibility, and regular attendance;
· Desire to be a role model for students;
· Ability to take initiative and use existing resources to solve problems, along with the ability to give and take clear technical instructions;

Primary Functions:
Information Service Technician III is responsible for assisting the Information Service (IS) Supervisor in effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, maintenance, and support of hosted services, software, systems hardware and related infrastructure. This position participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual manages enterprise systems, system hardware, operating systems, and related procedures. This position will perform professional enterprise-level technical support and training for district staff.
Other Functions, Duties, or Expectations:
· Establish and maintain a professional and positive working relationship with students, parents, staff, and the general public;
· Work with third-party technical support in the areas of testing, debugging, and problem-solving to a reasonable measure of the resolution of customer and business partner issues;
· Participate in maintenance plans and upgrading schedules for the organization’s systems and provide training if needed;
· Work with department and union leader(s) to identify needed skill sets and growth in various departments, teams, or growth to build capacity towards confident use and efficiency;
· Train users on specific applications and create and provide supporting documentation and videos;
· Become an expert in the YSD user experience, workflow, and configuration options of district adopted products;
· Assist technology team members in determining appropriate application deliverables aligned to application capabilities and use;
· Deliver regular and customized training to teams within the organization;
· Participate in maintenance plans and upgrading schedules for the organization’s systems;
· Create, change, and delete user accounts;
· Group Policy or OU object management;
· Assist with documentation of organizational policies, procedures, and system configuration;
· Perform daily system monitoring;
· Participate in regular security monitoring;
· Participate in maintenance and performance tuning measures;
· Install and configure new hardware and software;
· Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures;
· Participate in periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning;
· Data management;
· Provide after-hours support, break-fix and system operations;
· Other duties as assigned.
Expectations for Continued Employment:
· Employment is contingent upon passing the Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Check.
· Maintain consistent presence at assigned worksite and regular work hours.
· Comply with all District policies and operational procedures.
· Must maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
· Complete SafeSchool’s online training in accordance with the Yakima School District.
· Obtain a CPR and First Aid Card if needed.
· Attend job specific trainings as required.
