Manual Machinist Position (No CNC Operators)
Western Machine Works, Inc. is located is currently looking to fill an open position that we feel is a great opportunity for a high level, experienced manual machinist. WMW has been operating in the same location since 1907. The company is a division of B&D Industrial and all employees are part of the ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan). This means all employees are part owners. 40% of the business is owned by the employees. We take great pride in employee retention which makes job openings less frequent. Manual Machinist Requirements
5-10 years of manual machine experience in a job shop environment.
Must be proficient running conventional machines (Lathes, mills etc.)
Must be able to read prints, duplicate existing or sample part.
Be self-sufficient and able to complete a wide variety jobs in a timely manner with individual quality control.
Be a team player, help customers and collaborate with co-workers.
Have the ability to work with tight tolerances.
Have a strong math background.
Must have a valid driver license.
Able to work overtime when necessary.
Welding experience is a bonus.
