When Harriet Perry founded Perry Technical Institute in 1939, she subscribed to a vision of providing instruction and training of a practical nature that would have real-world applications for people going to work in a variety of trades and industries.
She identified a need to qualify and prepare students to enter into a gainful occupation and fill essential positions in their respective industries, especially in agriculture.
