Perry Tech helped organize a local summer camp this year, giving kids the opportunity to learn technical skills in a fun way. School instructors and student volunteers had fun activities for the children on July 24th at Loudon Park in Union Gap.
A number of hands-on stations were offered by the Perry Tech instructors and students from Automotive, Construction, Electrical, and the Instrumentation programs. The 3rd through 6th grade students rotated through all of the different activities to get a feel for each field.
The City of Union Gap sponsored a birdhouse building kit for each child to take home, and they worked on them at the Perry Tech Construction station.
