Perry Tech Named School of Excellence by ACCSC

July 06, 2017

Yakima, WA – July 6, 2017 – Perry Technical Institute has been named a 2017 School of Excellence by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Only 15 schools nationwide received the award from the private, non-profit accrediting agency. This marks the second time in five years that Perry Technical Institute has been awarded ACCSC’s most prestigious institutional award. Perry Tech was formally recognized by ACCSC at the 2017 Professional Development Conference in Reston, Virginia on September 25-27, 2017.

In order to be eligible for the prestigious award, a school must meet all prescribed accrediting standard benchmarks. This includes successfully completing the accreditation process without any findings of non-compliance. The college must also demonstrate that a majority of the school's graduation and employment rates from all programs exceed the average rates among all ACCSC-accredited institutions across the country.

As noted by ACCSC’s Associate Executive Director, Christopher Lambert, “In selecting Perry Technical Institute as a 2017 School of Excellence, the Accrediting Commission took note of the school’s consistent commitment to the expectations and rigors of the ACCSC accreditation process as well as a commitment to delivering high quality educational programs and services to the students, graduates, and employers that deserve our best work.”

Christine Cote, President of Perry Technical Institute noted, “Everyone here at Perry Tech is truly honored and excited to learn that we have been selected as an ACCSC School of Excellence.  This award is a testament to our entire organization’s commitment to help all of our students and graduates succeed and to operate with integrity at every level of our organization. We are certainly proud to be an ACCSC-accredited institution.”

ACCSC is recognized by the United States Department of Education as the designated institutional accrediting body for over 650 post-secondary, trade and technical schools that provide education to over 150,000 students in a wide variety of vocational programs each year.
