Job Description:
A Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA) has a technical background and in-depth expertise with the commissioning process including verification techniques, functional performance testing, critical power equipment and O&M knowledge. The role of the Electrical Commissioning Agent (CxA) is to act as a third-party authority systematically verifying that electrical systems are functioning in accordance with the design intent and Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR). Some of the actions of the Commissioning Agent will include verification and testing during all aspects of commissioning, as per ASHRAE and other industry Guidelines.

- Collaborate with project teams to develop commissioning plans and schedules for electrical systems within data center facilities.
- Responsible for Witnessing Installation, start-up, and testing of critical power equipment including, but not limited to:
- Generators
- Uninterruptible Power Supplies
- Switchgear (Low and Medium Voltage)
- Transfer Switches
- PLCs
- Bus ducts

The ability review construction drawing, specifications, and equipment manuals to assist in the collaboration and development of commissioning plans, checklists, and procedures in accordance with industry standards and project requirements. This is the planning portion that establishes the boundaries of in which to operate. With this knowledge, you will perform detailed commissioning by the execution of functional testing and performance testing. The goal of performing this testing of electrical equipment is to verify proper operation and compliance with the design parameters and throughout the commissioning process to document through comprehensive reports a summary of the testing procedures and validation of system parameters that demonstrates the functionality of not only a single piece of equipment but the functionality of a fully integrated system.
