Job Summary:

As a welder, you will weld stainless steel, mild steel, and Nickel alloys in a manufacturing environment with a focus on TIG welding.

Job Responsibilities:
Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job
Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, machining, and welding techniques and equipment
Performs welding, and fit up processes to manufacture parts to drawing requirements while ensuring parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded
Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and work areas
Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered
Maintains quality standards and works with QC
Follow safety guidelines, must not pose a risk to self or others, identify potential safety hazards, and initiates corrective action when necessary

Ability to read, understand and apply welding procedure specifications aligned to B31.3 and ASME IX
Ability to interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
Demonstrated ability to manage time and resources effectively
Ability to perform math calculations with an understanding of decimal/fraction equivalence, geometry, and trigonometry
Demonstrated ability to effectively inspect assigned work using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gages, gauge pins, or special equipment as required
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal form

Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
2-Year Welding Program certificate or demonstrated equivalent experience required
Minimum 3 Years TIG welding experience
Successful completion of an onsite welding test

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
Must be able to lift to 40 pounds at times
