Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing medical administrative support and delivering high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting healthcare professionals with examinations, performing basic medical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical facility.
Duties:
- Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance documentation
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform basic life support techniques when necessary
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Educate patients on proper self-care techniques and provide them with relevant information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding
- Proficiency in performing basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs and administering medications
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical office software
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and patient care
- Basic X-ray knowledge is a plus
