Job Description:
Job Duties/Scope Of Work
This position is responsible for processing payroll each week for HMIS and the other Hanford contractors, as well as perform all other Payroll functions as part of an overall commitment to providing services to the Hanford site.

The successful candidate filling this position must be able to effectively perform the following essential job duties:
* Maintain a high degree of confidentiality when performing day-to-day activities.
* Adhere to Workforce Solutions' policies and procedures, collective bargaining agreements, and working with other staff to ensure consistent application of labor charging rules.
* Use tact and discretion when interfacing with employees and management.
* Communicate effectively and respectfully with other departments.
* Perform a broad range of PeopleSoft data entry.
* Process timecard corrections.
* Perform payline entries for short-term disabilities, upgrades, arrears, 401k loan amounts, and correction to benefit premiums.
* Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
* Issuing and recording adjustments to pay.
* Manually calculate retroactive payments.

Basic Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of experience.
* Demonstrate general math skills.
* Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail in a technical, highly complex, and fast-paced work environment and demonstrate the ability to quickly adapt to changing work demands and conflicting priorities.
* Prior experience in a high-volume, customer service environment.

Desired Qualifications
* Experience using Microsoft Access or Crystal Report.
* Experience with PeopleSoft or other similar payroll software.
* Basic understanding of accounting principles and of internal controls.

Compensation & Benefits
Grade 4: $43,125 - $54,375
Grade 5: $47,450 - $59,850
Grade 6: $52,150 - $65,750
