Job Description:
POSITION COMMENTS:
• Install and maintain physical and virtual technology systems, manage collection and disposal of surplus
equipment, maintain records and track inventory for district.
• Monday – Friday: 8 hours per day/260 days per year
• Health Insurance benefits are available to employees who are employed at least 630 hours per school year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school graduation or evidence of GED completion.
• Formal technical training for two to four years, with certification preferred.
• Lift and carry 10 to 50 pounds frequently; Be on feet majority of the work shift.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, perform tasks in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to be confidential and work in buildings/classrooms alone.
• Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license, absent of serious driving infractions in the last (5) year

General Duties
Install and maintain physical and virtual technology systems. (e.g., Computers, Telephones, IP Cameras,
Network connections and equipment) in a condition of excellence enabling full educational use of technology
at all times in compliance with local, State and Federal regulations and requirements. Manage the collection
and disposal of surplus equipment for the district. Maintain records of and track inventory for the district.

• Demonstrated ability to work well with others.
• Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license, absent of serious driving infractions within the last (5) years.

Role and Function:
1. Maintain District technology, including but not limited to the following areas:
· Update and maintain district inventory.
· Collect, inventory and dispose of surplus equipment;
· Troubleshoot classroom technology issues;
· Installing software and hardware;
· Rebuilding and repairing computers;
· Maintain and update district software;
2. Maintain District network, wired and wireless, including but not limited to the following areas:
· Maintain an inventory of district network devices;
· Troubleshoot and maintain network cabling as needed;
· Maintain district fiber connections;
· Maintain district network devices (switches, etc.);
· Troubleshoot and resolve network problems;
· Perform preventative maintenance procedures as appropriate.
3. Be able to perform Job tasks as follows:
· Lift and carry 10-50 pounds frequently;
· Be able to use a ladder, bend, kneel, squat, twist, turn and extended arm use involving various weights frequently;
· Be on feet the majority of the work shift;
· Must be able to meet deadlines with time constraints;
· Perform such other duties as may be required of the position or assigned by the administration to fulfill the mission and role of the school and community;
· Uphold East Valley School Board Policies, follow administrative procedures, adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and enforce school rules.
