Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for field activities related to Water and Wastewater projects, largely focused on testing and
commissioning. They will provide support to the project teams through testing, commissioning, and support the installation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential duties and other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Verify and calibrate process instrumentation.
• Perform inspection and necessary modification on electrical control panels.
• Complete startup and commissioning of electrical components such as MCCs, VFDs, and ATSs.
• Support all testing and commissioning activities in full compliance with company standards, contract requirements,
project schedule, approved test procedures, quality, safety, and environmental objectives.
• Interface with various vendors and electrical contractors to perform process, electrical and instruments
troubleshooting.
• Reports non-compliances and delays of commissioning activities to the Project team.
• Performs troubleshooting, identification, and resolution of system and subsystem issues and, when required, escalate
issues to management.
• Ability to work independently and in team environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure during intense periods of testing and commissioning activities.
• Willing to work flexibly and efficiently in support of the project which may include working shift rotation, nights,
weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to interact with customer and project team in a professional manner.
• Maintains and develops own professional competence and skills.
• Collaborates with project management team to determine operational constraints, challenges, impediments, and
provide input into project schedules.
• Provides guidance and expertise to ensure the successful operation of assigned projects.
• Develops instructional documentation and procedures reflecting project start-up, operations, plans and training
procedures for maintenance activities and assigned project personnel.
• Required travel to jobsites estimated at 85% of the year.
• Dedicated to achieving a “Zero Accident Culture” by developing and implementing to site safety protocols and adhering
to OSHA safety standards.
• Ensures adherence to insurance, labor relations, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), risk management, and quality
control programs and protocols.


Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience
• A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of 3-phase power and 3-phase components.
• Experience calibrating and testing various types of instrumentation.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of understanding process and instrumentation diagrams, Electrical Schematics, and
Construction Drawings.
• Experience in tie-in planning, pre-commissioning, start-up, and process validation testing.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems as well as the associated commissioning
activities of each.
• Knowledge of Test & Commissioning processes.
• Knowledge of Instrument Calibration processes.
• Knowledge of Equipment Installation processes.
• Knowledge of various construction methods and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in an active construction site.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment standards.
Desired Skills and Knowledge
• Proficient understanding of equipment used in the water and wastewater industry.
• Knowledge in PLC, SCADA, and radio telemetry.
• Design-Build experience a plus but not required.
• Strong hands-on experience with system wiring, cabling, and instruments.
• Planning and organization.
• Integrated System Tests.
• Validation and Verification Processes.
