Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining semi-trucks and trailers. If you have a strong mechanical background, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Conduct thorough inspections of trucks and trailers to identify any potential issues or safety concerns
- Use automotive diagnostic equipment to accurately diagnose problems and recommend appropriate repairs
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Conduct air brake inspections and repairs on tractor-trailers
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as necessary for repairs or maintenance tasks
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and explaining repair procedures
Skills:
- Strong automotive diagnostic skills, with the ability to accurately diagnose complex issues.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge of trucks and trailers.
- Experience working with air brake systems on tractor-trailers
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and other equipment used in maintenance tasks
- Ability to weld and fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications are a bonus but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
