CNC Programmer Operator
Epson is urgently hiring a seasoned CNC Programmer Operator with a deep understanding of machining, tooling and fixtures. This role requires someone who is collaborative, and team orientated – working closely with our Engineering team to create unique parts for our manufacturing process. Using blueprints designed by our teams, the CNC programmer is responsible for bringing these pieces to life! Our ideal candidate is someone who can machine creative solutions to complex problems, is fluent in CNC programming and operation (3-axis), as well as knowledgeable in tooling and Master Cam.

Position Summary
The CNC Programmer Operator position works under minimal supervision to support in-house machining needs based on established business strategies to ensure continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policy. The CNC Programmer Operator is responsible for the programming, set-up, and operation of the machining center to fabricate precision parts using independent judgment and initiative.

Essential Functions

Perform programming, set-up, and operation of the multi-axis CNC machinery to produce accurate quality parts and meet deadlines, inspecting work with precision dimensional measurement equipment
Responsible for the interpretation of blueprints and electronic files to ensure parts are produced according to required tolerances and specifications
Utilize Mastercam software to develop programs using g-codes for CNC mills
May be required to provide assistance with other shop projects

Follow company-wide safety programs, 5S initiatives, and ISO procedures
Provide consistent, high-quality output to ensure customer satisfaction and create value to exceed customer expectations
Regular and reliable attendance is required to accomplish essential functions of the job
Qualifications

Education and Experience
Associate’s degree or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required
Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC programming and machining in an industrial or manufacturing environment required
Intermediate PC skills are required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite; Mastercam proficiency is required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints is required
Proficiency in using all tool room measurement devices
Advanced math skills are required, including the ability to perform geometry and trigonometry
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including technical documentation skills, to communicate with all levels of personnel
Basic knowledge of materials, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements, and machining techniques

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in an office, manufacturing, cleanroom and/or warehouse environment that is subject to moderate to high levels of noise, specialized apparel and safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. This position will have exposure to and use of materials listed in the company’s Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee conducts primarily light work with constant periods of standing, walking, reaching, squatting, crawling, climbing, stooping, talking, listening, pushing, and pulling. This position requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently. Repetitive motions (movements) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are required.
