EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN
Do you like to work independently and in a fast-paced environment? Are you effective at Diagnosing and repairing industrial forklifts, material handling equipment as well as working WELL with others? If so, we have a challenging opportunity as an experienced Shop Mechanic at Mid Columbia Forklift. Since 1978 Mid Columbia has helped businesses in Washington state get the equipment and training, they need to boost productivity, improve workplace safety, and eliminate inefficiencies.
POSITION SUMMARY
Shop Technician that provides professional, timely, and accurate repair of customer material handling equipment. You will be responsible for three primary duties: repair equipment, complete all documentation, and build excellent relationships with customers. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EXPECTATIONS
Required:
•Strong Teamwork desire & capabilities
•Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical skills
•Strong analytical skills & willingness to learn new technologies – for example cutting edge Lithium-Ion Battery Technology
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Solid computer and application skills with attention to data entry and completed staff work
•Multitasking and time management skills
•Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. or more and/or crouch and crawl in confined area
•Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
•Military experience a bonus
•Technical/Mechanical experience: 3-5 years minimum
Responsibilities:
•Diagnose and repair industrial forklifts and other material handling equipment such as engines, motors, hydraulics, and electronic controls.
•Dismantle machinery/equipment to diagnose the issue and accurately determine repair needed
•Lookup required parts (OEM)
•Reassemble machinery/equipment after completed repair and test
•Document results electronically in a timely manner
•Maintain a clean, presentable, customer facing service truck or work stall
•Necessary tools required to be a successful Technician
