Job Description:
Annual compensation will exceed $100,000, plus generous benefits package. Hardwood lumber manufacturer in Connecticut is seeking a highly skilled industrial maintenance mechanic to oversee preventative maintenance and service to ensure sawmill equipment functions correctly and efficiently. This includes the installation of new equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns. The successful candidate must maintain maintenance records for all machinery, effectively communicate with production and management teams, assist in maintaining facility, possess welding skills, and have industrial electrical knowledge. The candidate must also have heavy equipment mechanic skills, diesel engine troubleshooting and repair skills, and familiarity with air brakes/systems and hydraulic systems. The selected candidate must have at least 3 years of wood products manufacturing experience, good time management skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment and work outside in all weather conditions.
