Job Description:
Good compensation package available with a solid benefits package. Wood products company in Eastern Canada and New England is seeking to hire a skilled PLC Technician. The new PLC Technician will focus on performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. The selected candidate will have a strong emphasis on electrical and programming skills. The candidate will be expected to work with and troubleshoot electrical systems and electronic components. The new technician must demonstrate a solid understanding of PLC programming, and will need to work directly with external technicians, vendors, and contractors as necessary. Safety is a top priority for this position, along with good organizational and communication skills. At least 2 years of manufacturing experience is preferred for this position, along with an associate or bachelor’s degree.
