The Instrumentation Technician position installs and maintains the District’s SCADA, radio, and other electronic systems which include all aspects of the system: hardware and software; and communications and electrical systems. This position also provides operator support and training.
Duties include: Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on radio, telemetry systems, and equipment; install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and components; monitor, calibrate, adjust, balance, and program, as necessary or as directed, any and all sensors, transmitters, VFDs, PLCs, RTUs, and other equipment to maintain or meet operational parameters and goals; requisition repair parts and assist in writing or reviewing equipment specifications; maintain accurate and current records of the I & C systems including set points, historical records, record drawings, schematics, and shop drawings; respond to call outs as necessary; drive District vehicles in the course of duties.
Requirements include: Two (2) years of technical training in instrumentation and control technology or related field; four (4) years of related field experience; High School diploma or equivalent; Washington State Driver License and acceptable driving record; First Aid and CPR certified; Washington State Flagger certification; clean drug screen and successful background check.
