The Opportunity
WSDOT is currently seeking a journey-level IT Customer Support professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide advanced-level support, particularly focusing on our Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. The EAM system is vital for managing physical assets and ensuring optimal resource utilization for our Eagle Harbor Maintenance Team. Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive support for desktop computer hardware, software, mobile devices, and the EAM application, all contributing to WSDOT's business and strategic goals. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping our employees operate, maintain, and improve our transportation systems while ensuring public safety in a 24/7 environment. Additionally, you will serve as Tier-2 support, utilizing advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues and collaborate effectively with our IT team. What to Expect
Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Workstation Support Journey will:

Independently resolve technical issues and provide proficient support.
Modify, develop, and maintain existing technology systems.
Analyze problems and select suitable solutions.
Support cloud-based resources and user configurations.
Ensure efficient deployment and troubleshooting of equipment.
Collaborate with teams for knowledge exchange and system improvements.
Test and validate updates, patches, and new features.
Promote IT security best practices and respond to threats.
Manage workstation infrastructure and software installations.
Lead IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
Be part of an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, the following are required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an IT-related program. (The degree requirement may be substituted by a combination of education credits and years worked in a technology field, totaling at least four years.)
Experience utilizing IT hardware and software, including computer hardware and peripherals, Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard Adobe products.
Experience installing and supporting Apple Operating systems, IOS, and iPad Support.
Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle in the State of Washington.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card within six months of employment.
Ability to provide on-call support off-hours.
Ability to manipulate up to 35 lbs., climb ladders, and work within confined spaces.
Ability to dispatch to WSF facilities, terminals, and vessels within the same day without special accommodations.
The job requires frequent travel to different sites within the region, across the state, and potentially internationally, with overnight stays.

It is preferred that qualified candidates also have the following:
COMP TIA A+ certification.
COMP TIA NET+ certification.
Experience effectively communicating and providing assistance to a diverse set of customers.
Experience providing technical consulting and performing installation of IT hardware and software.
Experience supporting Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard Adobe products.

The salary listed includes the legislative-approved 5% salary premium for positions in King County.
