The Opportunity
WSDOT is currently seeking an experienced IT Field Services Supervisor to join our team at Washington State Ferries (WSF). This senior-level position is integral to our IT operations, focusing on the oversight of complex hardware system integrations and providing leadership to our IT staff. As an IT Field Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining critical IT initiatives that support WSF's vital systems, including the Maritime Access Surveillance Control System (MASC), ADA Visual Messaging/Paging System, Electronic Fare System (EFS), Enterprise Asset Management system (EAM), and more. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to ensure seamless IT and OT integration within a marine environment. Your role will also involve playing a crucial part in enhancing safety and security through tier-3 infrastructure support. What to Expect
Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the WSF IT Field Service Supervisor will:

Supervise and support the field services team responsible for critical systems like MASC and ADA Visual Messaging.
Manage complex system configuration changes, including hardware and software, impacting application behavior.
Troubleshoot intricate infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and implement comprehensive corrections.
Ensure the health, capacity, and optimal performance of mission-critical infrastructure services.
Oversee the administration and troubleshooting of field systems, including access control and surveillance.
Create comprehensive installation and configuration documentation for future reference.
Manage user accounts and access levels for critical systems, ensuring security protocols.
Administer and troubleshoot physical Video Management Systems (VMS) and other hardware-specific software.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely availability of systems and seamless integration.
Manage IT projects impacting Safety, Security, and Operations, including hardware and software implementations and integrations.

Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, the following are required:
Bachelor of Science in the Information Technology field.
Seven (7) years of experience supporting the operation of an enterprise-level server infrastructure. (Additional years of experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.)
Advanced knowledge of a wide range of IT principles, concepts, and methodology in IT Physical Security, Access Control, and Video Surveillance Systems.
Project Management experience.
Ability to provide on-call support off-hours.
Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle in Washington State to be able to respond immediately to field support calls at any of the WSF locations.
Ability to manipulate up to 35 lbs., climb ladders, and work within confined spaces.
Ability to acquire and hold a valid TWIC card.
Ability to dispatch to WSF facilities, terminals, and vessels within the same day without special accommodation.

It is preferred that qualified candidates also have the following:
Experience effectively communicating and providing assistance to a diverse set of peers and performing third-party vendor management.
Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Server operating system and Server Administration.
Working-level knowledge of database systems, preferably MSSQL.
Leadership and Team Management experience.
Experience working on and within budgets.

This position offers flexible remote work options but requires some in-office and field work for supervisory duties.
The salary listed includes the legislative-approved 5% salary premium for positions in King County and the 5% ITPS salary premium for supervisory roles.

In addition to base salary, employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type, duties, or location of the position.
