Essential Functions/Responsibilities/Duties
Collects patient and payor information for the purpose of managing inaccurate payments.
Navigates payor sites to determine payment activity.
Enters payment related transactions in the billing system per established billing procedures.
Keeps records of billing activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
Experience: Six months' experience in a business office setting. Experience in customer service and/or data entry preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Customer relations skills preferred. Knowledge of data entry and benefits codes preferred.
