Yakima Valley College is accepting applications for the position of Program Coordinator in the Administrative Services division. This is a full-time classified position; the beginning salary is $3,376 per month for 40 hours per week, with periodic increments up to $4,497 plus a full state benefits package.

The Program Coordinator supports our mission by providing a functional and technical role for Yakima Valley College’s administrative systems. This position will monitor program activities through data collection for the Innovation & ctcLink department and support ctcLink subject matter experts by submitting, tracking, and following up on SBCTC tickets.

Work involves a high degree of detail, strings of numbers/text, mathematical acumen, accuracy and efficiency, input evaluation, dependability, and flexibility in changing work situations/workflow. Work conditions include a high use of technology for most of the job, and the position requires extended periods of concentration and regular office hours for support functions. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative individual who is a team player with intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position is classified and reports to the Director of Organizational Change Management.
Essential Tasks

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or equivalent AND two years of clerical/office experience OR education may substitute for experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in higher education.
Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently under general supervision.
Knowledge of:
Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word at the intermediate/expert level.

Ability To:
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening.
Use relational databases and develop queries, reports, and solutions
Relate well to diverse populations, students, faculty, staff, and the general public in a friendly, courteous, respectful, and professional manner.

Qualifications
Position Responsibilities:

Participate in process improvement projects and assist with initiatives to streamline processes.
Collaborates with departments to facilitate the successful implementation of new processes and procedures.
Prepares and provides documentation and/or training materials as needed to facilitate the implementation of suggested changes.
Provide support, training, and knowledge transfer to department staff where required.
Assist with preparation and facilitating new employee onboarding and required training through Innovation and ctcLink support.
Gather data, track it, and evaluate changes through reporting and/or recordkeeping processes.
Support subject matter experts in ctcLink while communicating with local and SBCTC resources. Research and document problems within the ctcLink system. Submit and follow up on tickets in the SBCTC ticket system.
Coordinates with Pillar leads to maintain the LegacyLink and Legacy Transcript applications.
Utilize queries and reports using PeopleSoft Query and other Business Intelligence and data analysis tools.
Assist in monitoring the department budget and preparing corrections for review/approval.
Provide communication to project stakeholders and the broader college community as needed.
Provide regular status reports to the Director of Organizational Change Management.
Other related duties as assigned.
