Reports to: Lead Fabricator/ Engineer Tech

Job Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Able to work independently and as a team member.
Able to effectively communicate in written and verbal from with co-workers, supervisor, and management.
Follow written instructions (Standard Operating Procedures, company memos, emails) and verbal instructions.
Possess a strong work ethic to positively contribute to the company’s mission, vision, & environmental & quality policies.
Have a positive attitude, support your team to meet desired objectives, and assist others in their contributions.
Ability to work in overhead, prone, sitting, kneeling, or other body positions as required by the work environment.
Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, lifts, & other elevated positions.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (in required areas) for extended periods of time.
Be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Handle hazardous chemicals safely according to their Safety Data Sheets.
Be able to operate a forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, & overhead crane.

Job Summary:
Fabricators helps realize the construction or improvement of custom process equipment, plant infrastructure, & safety systems. As part of the Engineering & Projects Team, Fabricators work closely with engineers & plant personnel to develop solutions. When designs are finalized, Fabricators execute & install the solutions.

Job Specific Duties:
Maintain a professional, disciplined bearing & work area in the shop & in the field.
Execute high-quality work with attention to detail beyond mere functionality.
Accurately interpret technical & construction drawings, including weld callouts.
Take accurate measurements in the field using tape measure, plumb line, string line, & layout lasers to:
generate dimensioned working drawings as needed
create pipe/tubing runs according to best practices
Apply appropriate welding & hot cutting processes on stainless steel, carbon steel, & aluminum structural materials.
MIG/GMAW
TIG/GTAW
Plasma/arc cutting (manual & CNC)
Apply appropriate mechanical cutting, grinding, polishing, & finishing techniques on various metals.
Apply appropriate pipe/tube joining techniques.
Assist with low voltage wiring & electrical control circuits
Assisting with installation of sensors & process control devices
Create fabrication from drawings and material takeoff up to creating CAD design of parts or assemblies
Maintenance of shop equipment & tools (welders, machine tools, etc.)
Assist with maintenance of tool checkout & inventory system
Assist with ordering, retrieving, & receiving construction materials & shop supplies
Training others in safe & appropriate use of shop equipment & tools
Interact with plant personnel at all levels to assess problems & opportunities, & work collaboratively to develop solutions
Maintain sanitary and safe work environment.
Follow safety requirements.
May actively participate on company’s Safety Committee.
Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
Must adhere to all company policies.
Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
Follow all SOPs in a given area.
Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee.
