Job Description:
Madden Industrial is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for our client in Clackamas, OR. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for machining parts large parts with a CNC Horizontal or Vertical Mill 7 axis. Machine shop experience a must with a strong background with Fanuc, Siemens, GD&T and complex setup.

Pay: $26.50 - $32.50

CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the appropriate machining processes and procedures
Set up and operate large CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal machining centers, to manufacture precision metal parts
Select and install appropriate cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and work holding devices to hold and position workpieces for machining
Load and unload workpieces from the machines, and perform manual and automated quality checks to ensure the parts meet specifications
Monitor the machines' performance, adjust the cutting parameters, and perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication and cleaning, to ensure optimal operation and longevity
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with the machines, tools, and programs, and perform corrective actions, such as tool changes, program modifications, or machine adjustments, to minimize downtime and scrap rates
Adhere to safety procedures, regulations, and guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized work environment
CNC Machinist Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in CNC machining is preferred
At least 3-5 years of experience in setting up and operating large CNC machines, such as vertical and horizontal machining centers, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, and using measurement tools, such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers, to perform quality checks
Knowledge of CNC programming languages, such as G-code, and the ability to modify and troubleshoot programs using software tools, such as CAM systems
Familiarity with cutting tools, materials, and machining processes, and the ability to select and install the appropriate tools and fixtures for each job
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Familiarity with Fanuc and Siemens CNC controls and programming languages, and the ability to program and operate machines using these systems.
Experience with large parts and weldments, and the ability to work with heavy and oversized workpieces using cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment.
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and physical stamina, as the job may involve standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time.
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles, and the ability to interpret and apply GD&T symbols and specifications to ensure accurate and consistent part dimensions and tolerances.
Proficiency in trigonometry and mathematical calculations, and the ability to use these skills to set up and program machines, verify part dimensions, and troubleshoot machining issues.
