Job Description:
Instrument Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Instrument/Calibration Field Technician based in the Seattle, WA area. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.
Instrument Technologies performs process, biotech/pharma, temperature, pressure, analytical, and electrical instrument calibrations, including plant startups, to meet quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Instrument Technologies is a leader in instrument calibration services, and is accredited through American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to the ISO 17025 standard.
Job Requirements:
• A.A.S. Degree in electronics/instrumentation or equivalent training
• 2+ years of instrumentation/calibration experience (preferred)
• Able to lift 50+ pounds
The potential candidate must have the ability to learn technical information quickly - often on their own through reference material, using factory support personnel, and through our in-house knowledge base. Attention to detail, and the ability to record detailed documentation is required.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Excel are needed. A working knowledge of SCADA systems, DCS, Programmable Logic Controllers and other process instrumentation will be beneficial.
This position involves working indoors and outdoors in all climate conditions while walking and/or climbing with heavy test equipment. The majority of the time will be spent in the field performing calibrations in the Seattle area, but territory coverage will extend across Washington and other areas of the U.S. Some overnight project travel will be required.
