General Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Director of Information Technology, the Desk Support Technician will provide desktop computer support to ESD 112 and its programs.

Salary:
The full range for this position is $45,385.60 - $54,516.80. Offers are made at the entry level of the range.

*Effective September 1, 2023, the new full salary range will be $46,873.44-$57,028.78.

Assignment:
This position will be full-time, year-round.

Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:
Install and maintain desktop computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software issues.
Document and review systems to determine current and future desktop workstation requirements.
Support staff with the use of video conferencing equipment like Zoom, Teams, or other applications.
Educate users and staff in computer and software use and procedures.
Build training materials for the use of technology within the agency.
Develop and maintain systems documentation and procedures.
Work with vendor support contracts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.

Other Functions:
Other duties as assigned to support the success of the agency.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and two years of post-high school training or equivalent experience in a related field.
Experience with the Windows platform.
Knowledge of common Windows software including MS Office, antivirus, backup, and diagnostic applications.
Remain current in knowledge of computers, software, and troubleshooting methods.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Experience with Chromebooks.
Experience training staff on the use of technology.
Working Conditions/Employment Requirements

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Office environment.
Daytime travel within Southwest Washington required. Infrequent overnight travel for training.
Ability to move 50 lbs. and climb ladders and stairs.
Employment requirements - ESD job offer is contingent upon satisfying the following:
Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the WA State Patrol and FBI
