Job Summary:
As a Project Technologist, you will perform duties that range from installation and commissioning of BMS / low-voltage projects. You will be part of a team while also maintaining an independent role with a focus on ownership throughout all phases of the project process and work closely with our engineering team to ensure successful project installations.
Responsibilities:
Be the self-sufficient and motivated person who can be the go-to person for project-related items and issues.
Read and interpret Control, Mechanical, and Electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
Commission BMS systems.
Pull wire through conduits and develop wire pathways.
Install, replace, and/or repair building automation control equipment and devices.
Mount, and install field devices (i.e. thermostats, supply/return air temp sensors, controllers, etc.).
Perform point-to-point verification on BMS (Building Management Systems).
Wire/Terminate Control Panels and Unit Controllers.
Work with other contractors on equipment Startups to ensure BMS integration and communication.
Attending contractor or customer meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
O6 License for WA highly preferred
1-3 years of experience preferred but not required.
Experience in the building controls automation industry preferred
Associates or technical diploma a plus but not required.
Tech-Savvy with computers.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Commercial/construction installations experience a plus.
Driver’s license and clean driver’s record.
