Job Description:
Install, maintain, and repair as necessary the automated fruit sorting equipment.
This will involve both domestic and foreign travel.
Essential Duties:
Assembling, installing, and maintaining automated fruit handling and sorting equipment.
Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, and other fruit handling equipment.
Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals. Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
Requirements:
Physically able to perform tasks as a service technician which involves standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
Fruit and vegetable sorting or packing experience preferred
Customer interaction and customer service abilities.
Present a neat and clean appearance in representing our company.
Maintain a valid driver's license.
Possess or ability to obtain Passport.
No legal infractions that deny travel into Canada and other foreign countries.
Foreign and domestic (overnight) travel approximately 20%, rest of the travel will be local.
