Job Description:
Required License/Certification: Valid 04 Electrician License in WA state
A full-service sign company has an immediate opening for a Journeyman-Level Sign Installation/Service Tech. We are a family-owned 30 year established company providing customized electrical signage for businesses in WA/OR/ID area as well as at the national account level. We sell, design, fabricate and install all types of signage. This position performs installation of all types of signage, both illuminated and non-illuminated, using a variety of equipment including bucket trucks, ladders and lifts.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must be able to work well under pressure and solve problems
General construction knowledge
Comfortable working in heights of 38' or greater.
Outstanding customer service skills
Must be willing to work outside in all kinds of weather and out of town as needed
Must be able to complete labor intensive work repeatedly, including lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, dig footings, etc..
Preferred:
5 years Experience as Installer or Service Technician
Crane operator and rigging licenses
CDL license
Welding certificate
Ability to obtain an Idaho and Oregon 04 license
Experience:
Exposure to construction experience along with the ability to use power tools
Scissor lift experience
Bucket and boom truck experience
CDL Class B
Crane lift experience
Fabrication experience
Welding experience

Responsibilities:
Work and communicate to coordinate, install, implement projects, discuss challenges and completion of projects.
Install all signage according to plan using a bucket truck, crane, scissor lift, and/or ladder as required.
Education Requirements:
Regardless of education or related experience all team members must be able to read, write and count accurately in English and have good verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel as required while safely operating a company vehicle when traveling between job locations. Must be able to spend long periods of time in a vehicle while doing so.
Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the shop.
Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment.
Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
This position is non-sedentary, and it is essential that all team members have the physical and mental stamina and ability to move throughout the site and outdoor areas quickly and safely; to operate all equipment related to their job duties efficiently, safely, properly and accurately; and to provide the highest level of respect and courtesy to our customers and management.
Job Description:
The primary function is to install illuminated electrical signage. This can range from monument signs, channel letters, and pylon signs, which are typical, all the way to high-rise freeway signage and architectural signage.
The core of the position typically handles these tasks, but are not limited by them:
Operate a crane/bucket truck, some of which require a CDL, Class B license (Manual Transmission)
Use of tools to install signage, including drills, hammer drills, saws, grinders, augers, Bobcat, torches, mini excavator and other various tools as required per job.
Wiring of signage to electrical primary wires and connection of component signage parts
Rigging and picking of signage with crane
Servicing of electrical signage, including neon and LED illumination methods
Shop tasks, such as installation preparation and wiring/finishing of signs prior to installation
Surveying of sites to relay custom fabrication notes, field observations and pictures to both fabricators and office staff
Other tasks as assigned by management
